Members of the Mundesley Voluntary Lifeboat training in 2009. How close to a South Cardinal is too close?

Two Members of the Light Dragoons with Alan, one of our Instructors on “Hansel”
“Hansel” is modelled on an RNLI B Class Inshore Lifeboat, and fitted with a 115hp Direct Injection Two stroke outboard. Hansel is usually used for Level 2, Intermediate and Advanced Courses.
“Gretel” on the other hand is a Van de Stadt displacement launch, with tiller steering and inboard diesel, and is used for Level 2 displacement Courses.
Our Instructors are all experienced and of course RYA qualified. Not just in the RYA scheme but also vastly knowledgeable in the tidal waters of the East coast. Equally they are all enthusiasts and own and operate their own powercraft in addition to the many hours and miles teaching on the School craft.
We all personally enjoy boating whether under power or sail: the RYA Training Schemes have resulted in United Kingdom recreational boating having a safety record that really is second to none. It is our aim to help individuals, families, friends, enthusiasts or beginners to safely and confidently enjoy being afloat.
We are also proud to have run Courses including Level 2, Safety Boat, Advanced and VHF SRC for many professional water users and organisations, including Eastern Sea Fisheries, Norfolk Constabulary, RNLI Happisburgh, Hemsby, Mundesley and Sea Palling Voluntary Lifeboats, Light Dragoons and Associated British Ports.
We are fortunate in that we are boating in such a beautiful part of the world, Biased-
