VHF-SRC - the VHF Short Range Certificate
If you have a VHF Marine Radio on your boat, then you need both a Ships Licence from OFCOM - , and also an Operators Licence- the VHF SRC.
Once gained the Operators Licence is recognised across the Globe, and you will be able to take full advantage of the safety and convenience of Marine Radio.
The RYA Interactive Online Course is perhaps the most popular way of gaining the SRC - you complete the Interactive Course at your own pace. When you have successfully completed the modules you print out your own Completion Certificate, and then contact us to arrange for your practical assessment. We can normally arrange the assessment within a couple of days.
To help you decide whether the Online Course is right for you :
Possibly the best value available: our price includes the RYA £60.00 fee!
(There are other Centres advertising VHF Courses at £59 - the “small print” then adds the £60.00 RYA fees and a £30 exam fee! ALL INCLUSIVE here!!)
Thus our total cost of the Online Course, (including the RYA fees of £60.00 and the assessment) is £120.00 - to arrange an Online Course- CLICK HERE.
We can offer a WiFi Laptop on a weekly hire if needed while you complete the Online Course. Email or call for more information.
If you prefer a Classroom Course we run Courses at Overstrand, North Norfolk. To cover East Anglia we also work closely with just three Training Centres we know and trust:
